If you really don’t want to go on the toll road (and save a ton of time and gas), you can do this: Go north on I-35 to 71/Ben White.
Go right (east) on 71 and continue past the airport to a stop light where you can turn left onto FM 973. You can't go right at this intersection.
(The sign for 973 can sometime be hard to see. There is a small sign that says "Manor." There is a place that sells used mobile homes on your right. If you continue to the next light, you'll be at the junction to 973 south. Don't go there. Turn back around and take 973 north.)
Go north about 4 miles to 969, go right on 969, and keep going almost 5 miles until you see Taylor Lane on the left.
Turn on left on Taylor and then immediately left on Decker Lake Road.

When you exit at 969, turn right at the left and follow it to Taylor Lane.
Don’t turn on Decker Creek or any other street named Decker until you get to Taylor Lane.
